Welcome!
Welcome to the Battle Creek High School Class of 1996 Reunion blog!
If this is your first time visiting a blog site, here are some things you should know:
- Getting Around: This main page holds the most recent "posts." You can scroll down to see them, or you can skip to a specific topic by looking through the list on the right side of this blog.
- Commenting: The cool thing about blogs is that anyone can comment on any of the topics! Comments are moderated, of course. So if you have a question, or see something you want to add to, just look for "0 comments" at the bottom of the topic, and click it to make a comment of your own.
- More on Commenting: If you'd like to ask a question, but you would rather it not be published, you can email me at gobraves96@yahoo.com.
- Getting Back Home: It's easy to get lost in a list of topics. If you ever want to get back to the main page, just click on the page header "Battle Creek Class of 1996".
Help us find our classmates!
We've been able to round up addresses or phone numbers for many in our class. But we could use your help to find the following. Please comment below if you have some info, or email me at gobraves96@yahoo.com. - Adam Oldehoeft

UPDATES: Why you should attend, and RSVPs report
Alright, class o' 96, are you gearing up for the reunion?!? Here are a few things you should know...
Friday Night Football Game
I hope you're planning on attending the game Friday night. It's going to be a special night, as they're dedicating the football field to Coach Bob Schnitzler. It'll be a great game to attend, and I'm guessing they'll be announcing different groups of people that are there. Make sure you attend so we can represent!
Saturday Night Dinner
Just a little "heads up" for you: If you are driving to the Country Kitchen and are confused when you see a sign for Country Cafe, DON'T SCREAM HYSTERICALLY OR LET GO OF THE STEERING WHEEL!!! Instead, just remember that you read here that as of September 1, the Country Kitchen has changed names to the Country Café. Then, calmly pull into the parking lot and enter through the front or the back to access Fireside.
Attendance
We've had a lot of RSVPs come in! Awesome! Here's a look at how many are planning to attend which events (some have said maybe on some events, thus the range of numbers):
- Friday Night Football - 16-21
- Divot's Social Hour - 26-28
- Golf Scramble - 4-7
- New High School Tour - 11-15
- Dinner at Fireside - 21-24
RSVPs
If you haven't sent in your RSVP, DO IT ASAP! We're looking forward to hearing from you.
Post a comment: best and worst?
What was the best and the worst part about BCHS? Did you have a favorite teacher? A least favorite one? How about the food? Mexiburger, anyone? How about the ceiling in Stranghoener's room? Remember when that collapsed during class? That was... cool! Anyway, let everyone know what you thought was the best and the worst parts of attending BCHS. We'll see you at the reunion!
UPDATE: Saturday Night Plans
We've updated the blog with some new information: we're planning on having the Saturday dinner and program at the Fireside Lounge, in the back of Country Kitchen. If you haven't been there already, it's very nice, with beautiful wood, contemporary decor, and a big fireplace on one end.
So Saturday dinner and program is now at Fireside Lounge, not Michael's Cantina. Please take note.
Also, the invitations have been sent out to those who have given me addresses. The invites reflect the change in Saturday's dinner plans.
Comments, please: You so crazy!
What's the craziest thing you've done since high school? Let everyone know how wacky you've gotten since our high school days. Bungee jumping? Streaking? Smashing mailboxes? Wait, don't tell us about that last one... it's a federal offense and we don't want anyone arrested because of incriminating evidence on this blog.
Anyway, please post your comments and let us know.
Post your comments: Family?
Since high school, have you gotten married? Any kids? What about pets? What about kids who look like pets? Just kidding! But seriously, take a couple of minutes to tell us about your family. Click on the comments link below...
Open for comments: What are you up to?
Leading up to the 10-year reunion in September, we'll be posting several questions that you can respond to. Just click on the "comment" link at the bottom and type in a response. The question for the week of July 24 deals with the subject of current employment:Where are you working? What is your position? What brought you there?Write in as much or as little information as you'd like, and make sure to tell other classmates that they need to visit 1996bcbraves.blogspot.com!
